L'Occitane en Provence - French brand of natural cosmetics with production in Manosque (France). Was founded in 1976 by Olivier Baussan. By thinking of the founder of the brand was created with the aim to revive and preserve the traditions of Provence. L'Occitane means "Woman of Occitane." In 1976, 23-year-old Olivier Baussan found distiller in the field, harvested the wild rosemary and received from it the pure essential oil. He sold it at local markets, the product was in demand among local residents – it was the birth of L'Occitane. Today in stock L'Occitane has the facilities face and body care, hair, perfume, home fragrances. Lines are created around one key vegetable ingredient and named in his honor - lavender, almond, olive, juniper, etc... All this ingredients are produced in Provence, with the exception of verbena and immortelle, which L'Occitane grows on organic plantation in Corsica, and shea butter, which makes for L'Occitane in Burkina Faso.
